The KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research (KAHER) embarks on a first of its kind research journey through STREP (Structured Research Enhancement Program). STREP, a consulting and implementation project by HealthMinds Consulting Pvt Ltd, is designed to integrate research at the core of KLE University to propel its research agenda forward. Initiation of the same commenced with an MoU signing between the two organisations on September 26th, 2018. The eminent attendees of the meeting were the Vice Chancellor of KAHER, Dr. Vivek A Saoji (MBBS), Registrar, Dr. V.D. Patil (MD, DCH), Deputy Registrar, Dr. Ganachari M.S, Dr. B.S. Kodkany (Director, KLE Research Foundation), Dr N.S. Mahantshetti (Principal JNMC), Dr Chinmaya Chigateri (Director and CEO of HealthMinds Consulting Pvt Ltd), and his core team.
An orientation program of STREP was held on October 11th, 2018 for the faculty members of KLE University. Key note speaker of the event was Dr Chinmaya and he explained, “STREP is custom designed to put KAHER on the path to research leadership globally. The program will not only impact the institutional research output significantly, but also provide its doctors, students and scientists the opportunity to be part of industry relevant and new cutting-edge research which are taking place in areas such as imaging and AI. STREP is modelled to catalyse the research activity with well defined performance indicators such as publications and grant funding.”
What does this mean for students of KLE Research Institute? Healthminds will use its experience in medical research to implement STREP which will guide students to do good research, mentor them every step of the way and advise them on how to publish their research into good journals.
